class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>La misi\u00f3n de esta \u00e1rea de investigaci\u00f3n es caracterizar y evaluar c\u00f3mo las condiciones medioambientales y el recurso solar afectan el desempe\u00f1o de las tecnolog\u00edas solares en zonas des\u00e9rticas.\u00a0 Se presta principal atenci\u00f3n a problem\u00e1ticas como la suciedad, corrosi\u00f3n, envejecimiento y caracterizaci\u00f3n de materiales solares, as\u00ed como a la adaptaci\u00f3n de dichas tecnolog\u00edas a las condiciones locales para mejorar su desempe\u00f1o y rentabilidad econ\u00f3mica.\u00a0 Para ello, se busca establecer protocolos y medidas de mantenimiento que permitan, por ejemplo, disminuir sus costos operacionales y de mantenimiento.\u00a0 El \u00e1rea cuenta con recurso humano especializado y con infraestructuras de apoyo que permiten tanto la caracterizaci\u00f3n de las condiciones ambientales, como sus efectos en las tecnolog\u00edas solares,\u00a0 siendo un pilar fundamental en el apoyo de las diferentes l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n en las que el \u00e1rea participa tanto a nivel nacional como
